One Jewish guarantor who lives in British Columbia is required for loans up to 6,000. This guarantor must be a Canadian citizen or have Permanent Resident status. Your first guarantor can be ONE of your parents.
-

If you grew up in challenging financial circumstances, you may qualify for an ACCESS Student Loan which does not require guarantors at all. Please email jwaselhfla@gmail.com to see if you qualify.

Repayment Terms if you are a student: Payments of $50 per month while enrolled in a full-time post secondary program (for up to four years) and then $25 per month per $1000 initially borrowed after that. The borrower must submit proof of re-enrolment in full time study to HFLA in writing by September 1st of each year. If said proof is not submitted, it will be assumed that the borrower is no longer a full-time student and payments will automatically be increased to $25 per month per $1000 initially borrowed.

Repayment Terms if you are the parent of a student: Payments of $25 per month per $1000 borrowed.
