PERSONAL LOANS:
- Maximum $7,000

• Monthly repayment, via post-dated cheques, in the amount of $25 per $1,000 borrowed (eg. -$7,000 loan requires $175/month payment)
• Applicant completes HFLA application form.
• Applicant interviewed by HFLA Director in person.
• Two guarantors required
  • at least one guarantor must be Jewish
  • all guarantors must be permanent residents of BC
  • all guarantors must complete Guarantor Application form
  • all guarantors must be interviewed by HFLA Director (by telephone or in person)

EMERGENCY LOANS:
- Maximum $750

• Monthly repayment, via post-dated cheques, in the amount of $25 per month
• One guarantor required:
  • Must be Jewish
  • Must be permanent resident of BC
  • Guarantor must be interviewed by HFLA Director (by telephone or in person)

• Applicant completes HFLA application form.
• Applicant interviewed by HFLA Director in person.

EDUCATION, BUSINESS & Other SPECIAL PURPOSE LOANS:
- Maximum $10,000

• Purposes include: Student loans, Business loans, Adoption, Fertility treatments (other purposes will be considered on a case-by-case basis by the HFLA Board)
• Monthly repayment, via post-dated cheques, in the amount of $25 per $1,000
• Applicant completes HFLA application form.
• For business loans:
  • Application must be accompanied by:
  • Financial statements (historical and forecast)
  • Tax returns for 2 previous years
  • Business plan
  • Other information as requested by Business Loan Review Committee
• Applicant to be interviewed in person by Business Loan Review Committee

• Applicant interviewed by HFLA Director in person.
• Two guarantors required for loans up to $7,000 and three for loans in excess of $7,000
  • at least one guarantor must be Jewish
  • all guarantors must be permanent residents of BC
  • all guarantors must complete Guarantor Application form
  • all guarantors must be interviewed by HFLA Director (by telephone or in person)
